GWOF Management

GPT Wholesale Office Fund's (GWOF or the Fund) management team is responsible for all aspects of the management of the Fund. This includes determining the strategic direction, managing assets, acquiring and selling properties, accessing funding and providing appropriate services to investors.

In addition to a dedicated team, GWOF draws on the wider resources of  The GPT Group (GPT) providing access to specialised services and teams for the benefit of investors.



Micah Schulz

Fund Manager, GPT Wholesale Office Fund and Head of Office Investment Management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Business Management (Real Estate and Development major) at University of Queensland
  • Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance at FINSIA / Kaplan
Career Summary

Micah is an experienced funds management executive with over 20 years of real estate experience, most recently with Lendlease where he managed the Australian Prime Property Fund Commercial (APPFC) and was office sector lead in their investment management business. He has also held other senior roles across funds, investment and asset management.



Katie O'Meara

Deputy Fund Manager - GPT Wholesale Office Fund
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - University of Sydney
Career Summary

Katie has over 14 years' experience as a lawyer, working within the real estate sector at law firms in Australia and Ireland. Her legal experience includes funds management, corporate governance, and the acquisition, disposal, development and leasing of commercial property.

Most recently, Katie was most recently GPT's Head of Governance and Reporting - Office, and  prior to that Investment Manager - GWOF, responsible for writing and co-ordinating funding requests, papers and reports for the board, investor representation committee and investors. Before joining GWOF, Katie was the company secretary of GPTFM, during which time she was responsible for managing the governance requirements of the GPTFM board and ACRMC, and was heavily involved in the 2016 GWOF Fund Terms review. She joined the GPT Legal team in 2010.



Shane Wang

Head of Reporting and Analysis, Office, The GPT Group
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Law / Bachelor of Business - University of Technology, Sydney

Career Summary

Shane has over twelve years of experience across the real estate and funds management sectors. Most recently, he was GPT's Investment Manager, Office, and prior to that Senior Fund Analyst, GWOF. Before joining GPT in 2019, Shane was a senior analyst in CBRE’s Financial Consulting Group, where he specialised in the delivery of sophisticated financial underwriting and analytical consulting services required by international and institutional grade property transactions. 

Before that, he was a corporate finance analyst at Aveo Group, one of Australia’s leading operator, manager, and developers of senior living communities, where he played a significant role in the company’s mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, and funds management activities. 



Ryan Swanson

Financial Controller, GPT Funds Management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Business (Accounting) – Western Sydney University
  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
Career Summary

Ryan is responsible for the financial reporting of the GPT Wholesale Funds. Prior to becoming the Financial Controller - Funds in March 2022, Ryan was the Trust Reporting Manager for the GPT Group with responsibility for the financial reporting of the General Property Trust along with the GPT Group financial accounts.

Ryan has experience in audit and commercial roles in both listed and unlisted companies. Ryan has previously held roles at Goodman Group and ING Real Estate, providing him with experience in the logistics property sector across both Australia and Europe along with roles at Link Market Services where he was responsible for the management of the financial accounting team and Group reporting.
