GWSCF MANAGEMENT

GWSCF's management team is responsible for all aspects of the management of the Fund. This includes determining the strategic direction, managing assets, acquiring and selling properties, accessing funding and providing appropriate services to investors.

In addition to a dedicated team, GWSCF draws on the wider resources of the GPT Group providing access to specialised services and teams for the benefit of investors.


Chris Barnett

Career Summary
Chris is responsible for GPT’s Retail asset and investment management, as well as GPT’s retail and mixed-use development function. Chris also has oversight of the GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund.

Chris has over 22 years of real estate and asset management experience, with the majority of this gained within the retail property sector. Chris has held various senior roles in Westfield and Scentre Group in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
 
Prior to joining GPT, Chris held the position of General Manager, Development and Strategic Asset Management (NSW/SA) at Scentre Group, where he was responsible for investment performance and the delivery of a number of development projects across Scentre’s NSW and South Australian portfolio.


David Sleet

Career Summary
David was appointed Fund Manager of the GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund (GWSCF) in December 2021, and has over 25 years' experience in the property industry. David joined The GPT Group in 2005 as Capital Transactions Manager - Retail.

Prior to joining GWSCF as Deputy Fund Manager in February 2016, David was Development Manager - Retail, with responsiblility for the masterplanning of the next stages of Rouse Hill Town Centre - a major transit oriented, mixed use centre in the North-West of Sydney. This included project formulation, gaining development approvals and the acquisition, subdivision and partial on-sale of land.

David’s previous experience includes five years at Lendlease in asset and portfolio management, development and capital transactions.

Career Summary
Paul joined the Funds Management team at GPT in January 2015, and is responsible for the forecasting and analysis function of the GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund. Prior to this role he was Treasury Manager at GPT for five years with responsibility for treasury risk management for GPT and the Wholesale Funds.

Paul has worked in the real estate industry in Australia for over 14 years, holding investment analyst roles at DEXUS Property Group and was fund analyst at New City Australia, giving him experience in a number of property sectors in Australia and Asia.

Paul is a Chartered Financial Analyst, having been awarded his charter in 2005.


Ryan Swanson

Career Summary
Ryan is responsible for the financial reporting of the GPT Wholesale Funds. Prior to becoming the Financial Controller - Funds in March 2022, Ryan was the Trust Reporting Manager for the GPT Group with responsibility for the financial reporting of the General Property Trust along with the GPT Group financial accounts.

Ryan has experience in audit and commercial roles in both listed and unlisted companies. Ryan has previously held roles at Goodman Group and ING Real Estate, providing him with experience in the logistics property sector across both Australia and Europe along with roles at Link Market Services where he was responsible for the management of the financial accounting team and Group reporting.

Career Summary
Nat joined the GWSCF team in October 2022. Prior to joining the Fund, Nat was Senior Development Manager – Retail, responsible for a variety of projects across multiple assets that included masterplanning, remixing and extension opportunities. Most recently Nat was responsible for the transformation of Highpoint Shopping Centre, developing and delivering an array of projects including the aesthetic upgrade and majors rightsizing. 
 
Nat has over 20 years’ experience in the property industry. Prior to joining GPT in 2006, Nat worked in the consulting industry providing advisory, development and delivery services on infrastructure and building projects.
